It's fun, doesn't feel like exercise in the least and you can do it in 30 second intervals every time you stand up to do something.

I bought a jump rope a few months back just to add to the variety of exercise I do, trying to stave off boredom. I’m guessing I haven’t jumped rope since around 1978-9, but figured I could immediately start jumping rope while jogging around the block wearing a hoodie and alternating jumping rope with shadow boxing until I found myself punching hanging beef carcasses on a loading dock somewhere in Chicago…

Turns out jump rope takes a bit of practice and coordination lol…and not advisable barefoot unless you are into serious toe pain. Serious. Toe. Pain.

The hula hoop actually came with a jump rope too. Haven't done either since my early teens at the latest. Took some practice with the hula hoop to get it down again. The jump rope I only tried once, the day it came. It was tougher to get into the swing of so I'll have to try it again.
