Down time, requirements prior to scheduling surgery, does he require an endoscopy before surgery, pros and cons of each surgery if you aren’t sure yet, pre op diet (each surgeon seems to be different), weightloss requirements before surgery can be scheduled. Those are a few off the top of my head

Do you anticipate any issues with my surgery? (A question which cannot be answered without the proper testing first EDG, ultrasound if necessary) Should I have my gallbladder removed at the same time? (if you still have it and you’ve had past issues with it). Can you remove some of the gas that you place into the cavity before closing up? Does the hospital give abdominal binders?

The surgeon appointment had to be rescheduled so I will be meeting him on June 3rd. But these are all great questions thank you for helping .

If you are considering sleeve surgery, what size of a pouch does he create? The range in size is bougie 32-fr to 40-fr. Mine is 32. The smaller the better.

That is totally new information for me. I never knew pouches could be done in different sizes. Wow!

Me either. My surgeon explained to me that he creates the smallest pouch possible. It will hopefully help me lose weight faster. I guess some surgeons keep the pouch large. I went home and Googled it and discovered that a lot of studies have been done about the benefits of a smaller pouch.
