My husband thinks I am crazy

My husband came home from work early today. So he wanted to go to our sister-n-laws work for lunch. I drove everyone there. We sat down while he ordered the food. Kids took off to get their drinks and my husband came to ask me what I wanted to eat. Now remind you I have been with hispanics most of my life. I love tacos. But I have been fighting my self away from them. I told him I did not want anything. He still ordered me something and went and got me a green tea because he did not see the water. I picked at the tacos. Ate the meat and onions basically and then I did not even drink half of the green tea. I was full pretty quick while every one else was still eating. My husband wanted to get me more tacos and I told him no because I was full. In fact I passed 2 of the tacos of to the kids. That is what I love about my kids. What I don't finish they will. They are very active and they are all perfect size. But my husband told me that I don't eat like I use to. I did not eat the tortillas from the taco and I only ate the meat out of 3 of them. Before I would eat about 10 tacos. It is a big change but I am happy about it.

I know. My husband said if it was him going through this he would say forget it and eat what he wanted. I told him I am going for the surgery and I need to control my self. He said I was crazy because I want to control something about myself

You havent even had surgery yet according to your post. You are conditioning yourself to eat like you will after surgery... That's phenominal.. I guess you are required to lose weight before your surgery. Since I was 65 and Medicare paid for it, I wasnt required to do that. I lost a few lbs, but not like you...You go girl!
I get it.. Been there. As long as you are happy... Remember, this is about you,,,not how others feel. The family and your husband will get used to the new you and how you need to eat. Its a big change for everyone...not just you. Hang in there.

Great will power. I'm sure it will just take your husband a little more time to adjust to you not having so much food.
I was craving tortillas so much this weekend. I did not have any but I sure did want some. I love tortillas with butter, luckily I do not make them and you cannot get good ones where I live. Yay!!

Actually I did not have to lose any weight but I am close to losing 50 lbs since January.
