Nervous and excited

Hi I'm Cindy,
I am at the beginning of my journey for sleeve surgery. I think it is moving so fast as it turned out my appointment at Bariatric Center was scheduled the same day as my EGD and Colonoscopy.
Both came out great for the first time in 10 years.
I still need to meet with the Nutritionist. I have been cleared with PT and Social worker.
I have chosen this route on my weight loss journey after so many failed attempts. Hey I really thought Noom would work as well as weight watchers and the list goes on.
I have struggled most of my life with weight.
A few years ago I tested positive for autoimmune and it has been down hill from there.
Because of a new diagnosis of optical Mystenia Gravis and the threat of it converting to generalized Mystenia Gravis it was time to do some research to see what options I have. I spoke with both my PCP and neurologist and they agreed that having gastric sleeve surgery was a good route for me.
So this is me. I have read through some of the posts and feel this group is going to be very helpful and encouraging.

Welcome Cindy, you are in a good place. We are not experts, but we are going through this just like you, learning. No one here is an expert; we are learning from our experience. This was the best decision, at least for me.
