Hey everyone,
I hope you're all doing well. I'm back on the boards after being away for a year. I was scheduled for surgery last August and my surgery was cancelled 2 days before, due to another health issue that had started to show itself just a few weeks before my surgery. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and thought I had missed out on a one time chance. But, here I am again, a month away from surgery. I was finally cleared by my doctors on my other health issue and am now good to go again.
I am scheduled for June 10th with my pre-op next week on the 16th. I'm excited, nervous, and still feeling a bit like something could come up and interfere again, but I'm trying to think positive. For those of you who have had the RNY, I'd love to know how your hospital stay and recovery have gone. I have two little ones, a 7 year old and a 2 year old, and I'm wondering how long it will be before I'm back on my feet and feeling well enough to care for them without having help. I understand that it is different for everyone, but I'd love to hear some of your stories. Thanks again.
