Hello everyone, my name is Gene, and I had Roux en Y bypass surgery March 6th 2020. My surgery weight was 419.8. I am now 410.2 as of March 12th. I began this journey June 2019, at a weight of 489 lbs. I lost 70lbs pre-op and as all of you have experienced went through the battery of test, Psych evals, and the waiting game to get to our surgery date. I am extremely excited to finally lose the weight that has haunted me most of my life. I can't wait to share Gene ver2.0 with the world.

Congratulations on your surgery and welcome to the group!

This is a great group that can help you with any questions (all answers have the qualifier that this is not "medical advice" and you should discuss the problem with your Dr). The folks here have lived through most everything and can give you practical advice and will give you the support you will need. Welcome to the family!

Such amazing progress. You've come so far already. I had my surgery (gastric bypass) on March 12, and have only lost about 23 lbs so far. Progress nonetheless lol.
