Welcome Erma. Have you tried keeping a journal? I know it sounds strange but for me I was an emotional eater. But when I first started my journey I kept a food log. And alongside my food journal I also kept track of my emotions. Maybe you can keep a journal dedicated strictly to your emotions. Do you have a therapist? If not I would recommend calling your PCP and see if she can refer you to someone. It really helps. I myself see a therapist. Sometimes it’s easier to speak to an outsider and they can provide you with some insight and tips that you wouldn’t have thought of yourself. If you need someone to talk to I am hereHi. Sleeve was in October 2017, still struggling with questions and food addiction. Looking for ppl that understand the daily grind of trying to keep it all together
Hi I do see a therapist weekly now. I was hoping to find advice here and just others who have had surgery.yes I've lost weight, and continue to improve my attitude towards food and exercise choices and motivation. I haven't followed all the rules from surgery, wish my surgeon had stressed the Therapy piece more than just his percentages and figures Thanks in advance for any suggestions.Erma, why is it so hard for you two years out? Who are you going to for advice, to answer your questions? How is your food addiction still controlling your life? Have you lost weight, improved your health, bought new clothes, discovered a new depth of gratitude and joy of life? What's the other side of your coin?
