Hi, I'm a 47 year old female and I live in Ohio. I have been doing a lot of research lately on this. I believe I want to have the sleeve procedure but that could change. I have gotten on one of the hospitals websites and they have a form you fill out and on the form are questions to ask your insurance company to see if you have coverage. I called today and I believe I qualify. My BMI is 36 so I guess it's on the low side but I was told with certain medical conditions I qualify. I am a type 1 diabetic instead of type II. I have high cholesterol, take bp meds because I'm a diabetic. I also had breast cancer and had a flap surgery to reconstruct one of my breasts. I hope due to that surgery on my stomach that I am still a candidate. I am scheduled to go to a seminar where I can speak to the Dr later in the month but I just wanted to see if there is anyone else out there with the same concerns or medical conditions.
