Hi! I had a modified Duodenal Switch in December 2021. Still learning my new body. Feel like I spend a lot of time taking gasX. Always worrying I’m going to stretch out my pouch. I don’t really have anyone else to talk to about this type of stuff so I am very excited to read your experiences.

Welcome, this is a solid group.
I don't think there are too many people in here that have had DS so you may help someone along the way as well. People just joining and starting out.

Hello and welcome. I had the bypass & my husband had the sleeve. Even with different surgeries, many experiences with weight loss reaming he same. I hope you find that to be true as well.
Try to worry less about your pouch size and more about the quality of food you eat. I can set much more than I thought I would be able to. But, lettuce never hurt anyone .. Except that one time it was contaminated with salmonella

Welcome!! It takes some time to figure out your new body, but you will get there! (as a side note, LOVE that you are part of the Free Mom Hug movement... that is very near and dear to my heart).

Glad you found us, and appreciate the free mom hugs lol. We have been told here that our stomach doesn't stretch which makes sense. I know a year after gastric bypass that some days I can eat a lot. Other days I eat very little, so I don't think my pouch gets stretched out, or at least it shrinks back. Good luck on your journey.
