New to this group

Hello, my name is Kathy. I had Roux-en Y Gastric Bypass 4/10/07. Still haven't reached my goal weight. But much healthier than before the surgery. Having trouble keeping my iron level up. And just need to figure out how to jump-start the weight loss again.
 
Hi Kathy Welcome to the site. Have you seen your nutritionist yet about the iron, make sure you are not taking it with calcium or dairy because they cancel each other out and just end up passing through the body withough absorbing any of either.

The jump start to weight loss question is an answer, If "feastorfamine" (Patti) hasn't replied to this by the time you read this message give her a peronal message available on youy profile page, I think. She has been doing the 5 day pouch test (at least I think that is what is called) it is simmilar to going back and starting on your post surgery diet to give the body a kick start, so to speak, she started it a couple of weeks ago so she can get you started out.
