Hi everyone! My name is Amy. i will be starting my liver reduction diet on 12-23-12. A little nervous. My Gastric Sleeve surgery is on 1-2-13. i have a permanent ileostomy. anyone else have this surgery while having an ileostomy?

Congrats on your decision to undergo Weight loss surgery. It will be a double whammy as far as vitamins (esp B12) with an ileostomy. You can expect your stoma to change with weight loss so don't be surprised if you need new supplies and you will have to be careful with nutritional needs. Keep up to date on all your blood work. Be careful and good luck on your journey.

Do u have an ileostomy? I am afraid that it will not function of that it will receed into my body or protrude to far out.
