Welcome to the group, Nancy. This is an unmoderated group so no one can add you or kick you out. You are on your own and we are certain you will be on your best, most supportive, behavior.
Your problems, though, do sound challenging. I don't think anything is going to disqualify you with the possible exception of your foot drop. I don't know anything about that but I am sure there is a way to work with it. Your surgical team and nutritionist want to be as thorough as possible so you will get the best results you are able to achieve.
More important than any one physical challenge is your own emotional outlook and whether or not you are committed to living a new life. You are among dozens of people here to have kept that commitment to themselves, and dozens of people who have slipped a little and people who couldn't stick to it and lost everything. This is not a tiny decision. Like marriage it is not to be entered into lightly.
And in spite of your symptoms, there are people who have been much worse off than you who have been successful after weight loss surgery. I would encourage you to do as much as you can to rehab your foot and become ambulatory without assistance. And I know you can do this because I had a friend who was a quadriplegic and he still did so much from his wheelchair.
Don't hobble yourself with heavy descriptions of why you can't do things. Bust 'em. Don't set yourself up for failure.
Do everything you need to do to qualify for the surgery and stick around. We would love to hear you outline your journey from the first step forward. Again, welcome!
