:confused: New at this! Surgery was approved for 2/9/12. Scared and excited at the same time. Scared that it won't work. I want my life back! I want to live again and enjoy the things I used to do. Godspeed to all who are waiting for surgery and the doctors that perform them.
 
Wow that is awesome!!!:) My name is Jennifer and I live in NY. I am having Gastric By-pass on January 20th!!! So excited but scared at the same time!!! I have met lots of people who have had it done and it works!!! I will be praying for a full success with your surgery!! I hope you get your life back!;)
 
Donna and Jenny-Hi and welcome to the forum. I have a 2nd consult with my surgeon tomorrow, 1/5/12, and hope to be given a surgery date for my RNY sometime in February. Insurance approval is pending so I'm not sure if the doc will assign me a date or not. I would have had my surgery already except I had a very large hernia surgery in June that delayed things. In any event it's nice to see other people who will be having their WLS in close proximity to mine. Please come back to the forum often so we can "compare notes" and to let everyone know how you are doing.
 
How exciting for you. I will never forget the day I received the call that my lap band procedure was approved. The call came on my way to work. I got to work, went in, and cried. Cried because I was happy, scared, worried, etc. all at the same time. I am very excited for you. You will have your life back, you will!

It's so nice to talk to someone that is in the same boat as I am. I will pray for each of you that your band/gastric bypass surgery goes well and that your recovery and weight-loss are sucessful. I know we are all excited and scared, but knowing you have someone thats rooting for you who is going through the same thing means a lot! Jennifer, your first dear! We're going to be cheerleading for you and cheerleaders for each other during this exciting and scarey time! RAH! RAH! RAH!
