Hi all,
My name is Erin and I have been approved for gastric bypass and have an appt. with the surgeon on April 30th, 2012. Then I get to pick a date. Im very excited about this. I have been well prepared for this surgery for a year now of diet classes and behavioral medicine class, which I enjoy very much. I have learned a lot. I have been drinking protein shakes and love them. Well, only one brand I love, NECTUR, that's it. Taste great. Well, just wanted to introduce myself......

Hi Erin and welcome to the forum. How exiting for you to be so much closer to your surgery date. I just had my RNY on 2/27/12 and remember the excitement I felt when I was approved for surgery and given my date. I also remember how fast the time went until the day of surgery. There are a lot of people in this forum who can help answer any questions you may have, calm your fears, offer support or just listen to what you have to say.

Make sure to visit the forum often and keep us posted on how you are doing.

you've done your homework and worked really hard and your're about to have your dreams come true, happy for you.
I go to surgeon may 4, and hopefully get told when my surgery date will be.
please come back and let us all know how your doing, and any idea's or suggestions you have. I am constantly asking others what they ate , how things worked out for them.
keep up the good work,just think within a year from now you'll be at your healthy weight you want and have so much to share about your journey.
