No pain at all!

Hello, I'm new to the group. I'm glad I have found a place to ask about some of my concerns. I had Gastric Bypass surgery on January 22, 2020. From the moment I woke up from surgery until now, I have had zero pain. I'm thankful for this but it had left me baffled. I haven't hard ANYONE say that they haven't felt anything. The nurses kept asking me if I wanted pain medicine or telling me to slow down when I you walks because I had just had surgery. I felt nothing. I can drink just fine and can also handle soups and broths. I feel like I'm eating more than I should but nothing in my stomach had said "stop your eating to much" I have no feeling in my stomach. I really can't even tell if I have to pee. The doctor said the feeling will cone but I'm just a little concerned. I even asked my mother did they even do the surgery? Has anyone else experienced this and am I doing something wrong? I have lost weight post op and I have tried to sick to the green sheet that I was given I just easy more that a few teaspoons. Today I are 1/4 cup of beef broth for dinner. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP AM I MESSING UP ALREADY??????

I've had several surgeries and one knee and the RNY were basically painless (at least for the first few days). My gallbladder, hernia and other knee were far from painless. It all depends on how much pain meds you are given and how the surgery went. Enjoy the pain free time.

I had sleeve on 1/21/20. I also had no pain at all; never took anything for pain. From the get go, I had no trouble getting liquids in. My sleeve never hurts. Sometimes I feel gurgling as stuff is going down. I never feel full; I just stop at the 1/2 food I can have. I also wondered about this, but I have the puncture wounds to know it really happened! haha You're not messing up!

Thank You! So do you think we will ever have the tool that lets us know we are at our limit?

I sure hope so. My sleeve has never felt too full. I'm thinking that getting on solid foods may give me some indication of fullness. right now I get 1/2 cup of soft foods, like oatmeal and grits. Friday, 2 days from now, I can eat eggs! Yay! I can't wait for real food. I still have thoughts of food I can't have and "mind cravings."

I was similar in that I really wondered if the surgeon did what she said she was going to do, lol. I am now 5 months out and have had a few times when I have felt hunger and only a time or two when I have realized I ate too fast or too much. I feel like I was super cautious with the amount of food I was eating because the last thing I wanted was to feel pain of any sort. So I have made sure every meal takes 30 minutes and I don't go over the amount of food I am supposed to eat. When I do, I can definitely tell. It just took eating a wrap that still had juice from the meat leaking out of it so that I couldn't put it down or else cause a mess to show me I could feel when I ate too fast! Once it happens, you will do everything you can to avoid it going forward. :)
