Not losing like i thought i should

Can you be more specific and are you in An early phase of the diet now, or are you onto solid foods? Do you keep a food diary. ? I have the stupidest Google Voice. Interpreter here. So sorry. I'm going to try to fix this stuff before I post again. .
My doctor has me eating solids and yes I keep a food log I was doing 2 protein shakes a day but she wants me to do just one and eat more food ...and I'm exercising it like a pound or 2 here and there

How many pounds did you expect to lose?
I think this is really important! Expectations can absolutely kill our motivation, and derail us! If you, or anyone, is concerned you are not "losing weight fast enough", just remember you ARE losing weight, and that is the victory. Some people lose weight faster or slower. But the goal is to lose the weight.

Maybe you and your doctor can make adjustments to your diet to speed things up, and maybe not. You should absolutely.explore all safe/healthy options.

We have all taken a courageous and important step in taking control of our weight. Give yourself a round-of-applause, pat yourself on the back, and take your bow! You are doing it! That is what matters!

I had the gastric sleevesurgery on 12/31/19
My goal weight is 150lbs
Highest weight was 5"6
Weight on surgery day 317
Weight lost since the surgery 25lbs
I am averaging a weight loss of 4lbs per week
I think I should be losing 6lbs per week
I take these supplements multivitamins.
I get 40 grams of protein every day
I eat 4 to 5 times per day
I move my body 10 plus times a day, for 10 to 20 minutes
My preferred exercise is walking or bicycling
I have seen my surgeon for follow-up 3 times since surgery

YOU really need to be more specific. And always follow your doctor's advice.

However, you should be on solid or semi-solid food by now and using a protein shake as a meal doesn't work, and may even be bad for your weight loss. Do a search for it.

Are you eating or drinking anything that is NOT on your healing diet? You're being so vague, it's impossible to give you informed advice.

try this form. fill it out & hit "post reply" and we'll give you some great advice, i promise.

I hope I'm on the right track. I have had several complications. From dehydration to stool impaction. All from not drinking enough. Trying to get more fluids down

I am almost 11 weeks post surgery and I have stopped losing. I am very strict I am following instructions exactly. I am eating between 500 & 600 calories per day and getting a minimum of 60 grams of protein per day. I have not cheated even once. I am exercising somewhat, but I have been lacking in that department because I have back problems, but I'm getting much better.
I have been to several bariatric sites online like the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Tuffs University, etc.. looking for guidelines for post surgery diet and they all say something different as to the guidelines when to move from one phase to another. Some say eat solid foods after 4-6 weeks, some say wait until after 12 weeks. I was losing from 3 to 3.5 lbs per week until 2 weeks ago, then I stopped in my tracks and the scale hasn't budged, yet I have stuck with the eating plan. I knew there would be plateau's along the way, but I did not think they would come this soon. I have lost 37 lbs so far. Any advice ?

As long as you're following your plan, your body is just adjusting. You will start loosing again! Unfortunately plateaus seem to hit without reason from time to time. Just keep up the hard work.

You really need to be more specific. There is no Kelley Blue Book value to your weight loss. I remember my first week post-op I lost 20lbs, and was disappointed I didn't lose 30, because I friend in my support group did. But it's all relative, as my friend was at least 100lbs heaver than me, and shorter than me.
