Odd question

Has anybody ever feel less emotional after surgery. I am 6 months post op. I'm doing well with everything as far as my weight and my food. Before surgery I would cry sometimes for no reason, it was a great stressfully reliever for me. But now I hardly ever even cry at all. If I do it's only for maybe a little while.

Has anyone else had this

I have not noticed that. I will ask you this though; are you less stressed overall? I am a crier myself and agree it can be a huge stress reliever. However, as you are losing weight and presumably feeling better about your health, your body and yourself in general, it is possible you don't need as many crying/stress relief sessions.

I hardly ever cried before my surgery unless it was a happy cry but that all changed after surgery. I went through an extremely dark time for the first 1.5 months post op. That was the first time in my life that I couldn’t use food as my security blanket. Things did get better but it scared me.
