One month out

My name is Scott. I am scheduled for my gastric sleeve procedure on Oct 15th. This has been a long journey, with trying to get insurance to cover it, to a failed attempt with the program previously. I am really excited that all the admin stuff is out of the way and I have a date.
My therapist recommends that I attend a support group for surgery patients. My google search led me here. I'm not giving up looking for local meetings, but am very thankful that this resource is here. I will utilize this group even after finding a local meeting.

Welcome to the group Scoleo! And congrats on getting a date! Some of our journeys seem to take forever to get here, but it is worth it in the end. I too found this group when I couldn't find a local support group that I can attend easily. The hospital I am at has them but it is too far away to make it when they have it. So I have enjoyed reading through all of the posts on here and becoming part of this amazing community. I am sure you will learn as much from everyone here as I did. Let us know how your journey progresses
