Plateau

Just stick with the plan and keep taking it one day at a time! Plateaus happen to all of us but they pass as your body is just taking a minute to adjust. It wants to hold on to what it feels is normal and we just have to keep doing what we know to do and your body will eventually get with the program.

My sleeve was done in 2016 I had some female issues where I had to take birth control pills for a little which cause some of my weight gain to come back and then I was unable to lose it and get back on track, so my surgeon suggested revision surgery. I do have a post-op diet which I have been following I may not be as active which may be some of it but I should be still losing a little more. I tried to stick to my protein intake and water intake I am definitely under a thousand calories a day.

Yes has surgery on January 9th I am now about 8 weeks out and I have only lost about 8 pounds since surgery I had a revision from sleeve to bypass my surgeon said she noticed that some revision patients lose weight slower but this is really slow
I had revision from sleeve to bypass in August of 2019... I am down 52 pounds since surgery, but those first 2-3 weeks, it was slow and then suddenly just fell off. Now it is slower again, but I am already below my surgeon's goal, and about 8 pounds to go for my personal goal. Your body will plateau a little here and there, but it will come off! Hang in there!

Hi Tonnie,

I am in the same situation as you, except my plateau has been since February 17th. I just passed my 5 month mark, heading into month 6 post op. I started walking regularly (got a puppy) and I am doing about 1.5 miles a day and I've stopped loosing. I am not sure what I should do, but as others have reminded me, this is normal. It's very frustrating! Best of luck to you in your journey.

I'm pre-op and keep hitting a plateau every 3 lbs or so. I eat like a bird and nothing happens, then after 3 weeks, I'll drop 3 lbs. Rinse & repeat. For me, it's probably hormones, but also stress. I understand your pain. I'm ready to throw my scale out the window some days. Try taking measurements, sometimes we're shrinking and the scale hates us.
