I had a full gastric bypass on 4/7/14 since 22nd I have been trying some new things in stage 3.
I still throw up between 3-6 times a day, can't drink or swallow anything super cold even though I am so thirsty and just want some sips of Ice Water.
I take all vitamins told use unjury.com vitamins and get most of protein from the chicken soup and unflavored protein.
I also am drinking isopure 40gm protein bere 20 oz. I am getting btwn 80-110 protein a day.
last few days several people have told me that I look yellow (not my eyes though).
doing everything the pamplets say and my dr and staff is a little vague and most answers are like thats typical or everyone has different problems.

What should I be doing differently?:(

Hi Rusel. Sorry you are having problems. Your protein intake is perfect, are you getting enough fluids? Any fluid that is caffeine free and not carbonated counts towards the 60 oz that you need. I bet you are doing well with your fluid intake too

Now you are introducing foods. Choose one easy to chew food, eat it slowly chewing until it is mush in your mouth and then swallow. Put down your fork and wait for a couple of minutes then take another bite, chew til mushy, swallow and wait again. Don't eat too fast don't let yourself get too hungry and don't forget to chew because if you do forget you will vomit I guarantee it. You can do this it just takes practice.

Some foods will be too hard to digest. If you follow the rules and find that you still get nauseous or vomit, the don't eat that food again for a few weeks. I am just now able to eat beef and lettuce and I had my surgery over 5 months ago.

Please post more info about yourself so we can help you better. Add this info to your profile to make it easier read and update it as you progress.

Good luck. You've done everything right so far as best as I can tell. Tell me more so I can help you better. If you are still feeling badly by Monday, please call your doctor.

I still cannot have pork. I am almost 6 months out. Fluids have to be sipped. Don't expect to take down 8 ounces all at once. Sip slowly. Wait awhile.

You have a new small stomach.

I still get "full" quickly with liquids. So I spread them out through out the day.

Two eggs and a slice of bread is a good breakfast for me.

Initially, it was one egg no bread.

I still can only get 2-3 ounces of meat into me at one sitting. I sometimes stop my meal and get up and come back 15 minutes later and continue.

I get lots of gas and so do most of us. I now use antacids to help with that. I pop in a few gaviscons or a tum or two before and during the meal to reduce the belching, burping and gas in general.

Yes, I can still get a dump. I had some sausage too quickly and too much last night; one sausage on bread. I had a dumping syndrome.

So, I shy away from it for now or if I have it I do so in very limited quantity; like maybe 1/4 of the sausage and that is that.
