Post op Pain (1.5 weeks post surgery)

The bariatric nurse told me I would have some pain in the upper left quadrant of my abdomen. Something to do with anchoring to the abdomen wall. I have a high pain tolerance and this is crazy. Hurts really bad! Anyone else have this and what did you do to relieve the pain?

I've never heard of anchoring anything to the abdomen wall??? Someone else may have info on that. The pain I felt was the gas they pumped into my abdomen. Took a long time to get that all out.

I had really bad pain in that area as well, but I was told it was gas, and the more I moved the more it would get better. 10 days post op and I feel amazing I’m kinda shocked I thought I would never feel good again. (I know dramatic) don’t get me wrong I get tired very easily and I’m not sure what to do about that...

Hiya Chalms, glad the gas pain has dissipated. From what I've read from everyone here, I think it's normal to feel tired for the first several weeks. It takes a lot of energy for your body to heal and add in the fact that you're barely taking in any calories in the beginning and it's logical. Glad to hear you're doing well though! :)
