Hello Juicy -
Doctors and insurance companies are different. For me - I was on a pre-op diet for 2 weeks before surgery. If I had gained or lost more than 10 pounds before surgery - the insurance company would have moved me to the back of the line (they would have had me go through the 6 month process again).
I didn't feel hungry at all. Typical day:
Breakfast - protein shake
Snack 1 - 2oz deli meat - 2 oz of cheese, SF jello
Lunch - 1 cup of each - cucumbers, tomato, mushrooms, 1/4 cup sunflower seeds, 2 tbs light dressing
Snack 2 - protein shake - SF jello
Dinner - 4 oz of chicken, fish, or turkey 1 cup of cauliflower
Snack 2 - 4 dill pickle spears, SF jello, 1 cup of bone broth with mushrooms
Water - 67 oz daily.
Your diet is determined by your doctor based on the parameters of your insurance.
Best of luck to you on your journey!
