pre-op help

Hello & welcome to the group, cajuntoast (love that nickname!). One thing that might help is getting 64+ ozs. of water in daily to begin the hydrating process you'll need after the surgery. Try practicing sipping all day, and this might help distract you from your hunger feelings. The more water, the better. Also, can you have sugar-free jello & popsicles? What about broth? Those can help you feel fuller and more satisfied.

You're almost there. Your surgery date will be here before you know it. Please visit the articles section below the What's new posts, and read the archives from others with similar questions. Best of luck!

There are so many different pre-op diets that we've seen in this group. Some much more restrictive than others. Many have 2 week liquid only before surgery so it is good that you can at least have one regular meal a day. But no matter what your pre-surgery diet is, it is bound to be a challenge. Just remind yourself it is temporary and try to keep yourself busy and mind preoccupied on other things. Good luck! Your surgery is so close!
