This is my last option. I'm older than most but healthy. I'm concerned about after the surgery. Side effects...especially dumping syndrome and humiliation.
Since you are doing this after failed anti-reflux surgery, you might find that the relief from the daily pain of GERD far outweighs the occasional dietary restriction of the bypass. Dumping syndrome becomes pretty predictable once you understand what you tolerate.
Thank you. I am pretty worried as I had some pretty bed experiences at the gym with it. I was not warned. The doctors at Stanford are pretty sure I will do well and without complications. I sure hope so. I am not a spring chicken anymore and I really stressed that to them. They assure me I am healthy in every way possible, except for GERD.
