Hey all i am well over a year out and 20 weeks pregnant. I swear all I want is food. I over eat regularly and struggle mentally to control myself. has anyone else faced this? I was down to 175 im now 185

thank you for your advice, my name is Leela by the way. This is my second pregnancy. The first i lost 75 lbs was sick and barely ate. this one is completely opposite. I find myself eating even when im not hungry and not the best foods either. all i seem to want is pasta, soda, chocolate... everything from my past haits.

I suggest speaking to a nutritionist regarding what to eat and how much weight you should gain. The suggestion is to wait 2 yrs after WLS to become pregnant due to hormone fluctuations and absorption issues. So, you definitely want to make sure you are getting and keeping the correct nutrition for the fetus. A professional, who is knowledgeable in WLS, would be your best bet.

Such wise people here. I will be 65 on my next birthday. Pregnancy/Childbirth is so long ago. My daughter was 10 months in the womb. At that time in my life weight was not a big issue. My original doctor wanted me to only gain 20-25 pounds. The reason was based on having less to lose after childbirth. 9 I gained way more than that) The most important things said previously are: talk to your OB/GYN and your bariatric team on regular basis, together they shall get you through this time as healthy as you can be With a healthy baby at the end of the process.
