Scared but ready!

I am 11 days away from sleeve surgery. I am on protein shakes as we speak, but any advice would be greatly appreciated for before and after surgery. I am having mine done in Mexico, and once I come back to the states, I am pretty much on my own, my doctor here will treat me but just not sure how that will go since he is just a regular MD. Also, don't know if my insurance will cover those visits since the surgery was done in Mexico. Anyway, please help. I am scared but ready!!

My bariatric surgeon does what is called a "transfer of care". It would be worth checking into this with surgeons in your area for when you come home. As for insurance, I'm not sure but you could ask regular doc for a referral to bariatric, then possibly insurance would cover. They cover all kinds of referrals to specialists. Good luck to you!
