I'm schedule for EGD, I was told that I how to drink clear liquids the day before and nothing to eat or drink after midnight, and I will be under sedation etc. Have any one had a EGD done?

EGD’s are a breeze and they are quick. Doctor is looking for signs of GERD and checking out the anatomy of your esophagus and your stomach. Also looking for hiatal hernias, basically mapping out your stomach for surgery so there are no surprises. Most insurance companies require it now. Mine doesn’t but my doctor requires it as part of his program.
