Still losing weight?

Question for all who have progressed from liquids to puréed and soft: Did you lose weight every week? Even when you switched phases? I’ve lost a decent amount so far and I’m just wondering if it mostly is from this liquid diet. When I progress to puréed (this week) am I going to stop losing weight or even gain weight? I’m just trying to mentally prepare for it. It’s been nice seeing the scale go down for a change.

I figured I lost a lot in the beginning and I think as soon as I switch to puréed it’s all gonna stop. I’m 15 days post op now and from my starting weight (the morning I started the two week pre op diet) I have lost 34 lbs. I’ve been happy with that rate but of course it won’t last. I weigh every Monday. I’m sure it will go down again when I can finally start back at the gym and PT but I’m not sure how many weeks that will be.

My situation is a little different with revision. I did not anticipate losing as much as I have. I dropped about 25 pounds quickly, plateaued and thought that is where I was going to be for a while, but then I dropped another 25 quickly. Right now I am lower than the surgeon's anticipated goal weight, and 2 pounds below my own original goal weight, 8 pounds from my new personal goal. I did just have a hysterectomy almost 3 weeks ago, and I am back to the weight prior to that surgery/in my regular clothes. I am still swollen in my lower stomach, so once that goes away completely, I have a feeling I will be down another size in pants. On one hand, super pleased about that, but on the other hand, I just bought a few sets of capris in my current size for the warmer weather... LOL

That is awesome! I know you've been through the ringer, having multiple different versions of WLS. I'm thrilled this last one has given you these fantastic results. :)

Well, it has been a process, LOL. I had the lap band originally in 2013; converted to sleeve in 2015 due to an erosion caused by overfilling and band slip. I wish I had gone to bypass at that time, because I ended up with severe GERD, and had to convert to bypass since my anatomy did not allow for other options. SOooo... August 2019 I had my revision. My highest weight was 308 and this morning I was 148.2... On revision surgery date I was at 200 even (lots of slider foods due to GERD). Right now I am only walking, but that is primarily because of my hysterectomy 3 weeks ago. I primarily do yoga/pilates and walking. I need to do more toning once I am released to exercise again.
