Hi all!

My name is Thomas and I am new here (although I have been "lurking" for a little while ) and I thought I should at least introduce myself.

I am not having the surgery however came to this site in support of one of the members and her decision to have the procedure done.

I have already learned a lot and look forward to learning more in the future, Thank you all, you have already helped me to accept this surgery more and not going into it blindly and accepting but informed and as comfortable with the idea as one can be when talking about a surgical procedure.

I was very comforted to see that while the members DO mention the down sides, they are generally happy with their decision.

Thomas66 hi & WELCOME I think it's so great for someone to have a friend like you whom is wanting and willing to learn more about a special procedure they are about to embark upon, and that you care enough to learn and want to be as "supportive" as possible. YOu are so right so many of us have shared the "bad side " of what we went through but as you mentioned most of us are over joyed with the healthy results we are seeing now.
