This is my first post, 4 weeks past gastric bypass.

Hi Debonmi! Welcome to the group! Congrats on your progress so far! It is tough because you want the weight to come off quickly, but our bodies tend to do what they want, in their own time. I know I saw a quick drop in the first couple of weeks and then it started slowing down after that. I am now 3 1/2 months out and typically see a 2 lb loss per week. Sometimes it may only be a pound and other times it may not move at all. You have to remember, the surgery is simply a tool in our belt to help with the weight loss journey. If you truly feel like you should be losing more, take a look at what you are eating and write it all down. Do you see something like a snack you add here or there that could be helping the weight loss slow down? You may not see anything like that, but it is still important to check in with yourself and make sure you are following the diet to a "T". It may be hard, but it is well worth the effort and sacrifice. Keep your head up and remember why you are doing this. You can do it!
