This sucks....

I've been on a plateau since March 10th. Wondering if it's because of stress. With this safe at home stuff going on. I'm having a bad chip craving. Cant find a parking spot at home after work. I am working 60 hours at work this week. Next week I start 72hr weeks for the unforeseeable future. I'll will be working 6 12hr days on 1 day off. I already need a nap. Trying to stick to my diet. Any suggestions.

I'm eating 3 teaspoons of food 4 to 5 times a day. I am sorry to admit I have tried a few chips. I can't eat more than 2 at a time. I am trying to log my food intake but it's hard when I'm at work to log it. I'm trying to eat mostly protein. I puree chicken with belpepper, onion, garlic and broth. When I get ready to eat I add a more broth with a little extra unflavored protein powder. Right now I work as a home health aide and take classes while waiting for nursing school. This stuff going on in Los Angels is crazy. I'm considered an essential employee right now and need to keep my name badge on me at all times when I'm not home.

I commend you for being in the healthcare field and working so many hours. I am in the same boat, working 12-hour days at work plus doing some of the admin work from home, no days off. It is hard to log and track food as you go. Are you are able to food prep? If so you can put everything into small containers pre-labeled with the amounts of protein/fat/calories/carbs on each container. Then you can log and track your food the night before you pack it all up to go to work the next day. Would a couple of saltine crackers satisfy your chip graving? Or you can shred some cheese onto parchment paper and back in the oven for homemade cheese chips. When I had "crunchy/crispy" cravings, those are what I started out with. Good luck and congrats on nursing school!

I totally get the 'bad chip craving." I love crunchy chips. I was talking to my husband about it as he was munching on a bag of cheddar sour cream lays chips - MY favorite. I was blathering about how I would love to just stick my head in the bag and hoover what was left. He finally caught on he was eating something I was craving - once it clicked with him - he stopped eating them and put the bag in his work truck. For him it was "out of sight out of mind" - not so much for me. He went out later and came back with some Quest Protein Chips from the GNC store - cheddar sour cream, ranch, and 2 other flavors. They can also be found at Walmart - with the protein bars and such. They are single serving bags - Sour cream & onion have 21g of protein and 4 net carbs <1g of sugar. These have conquered my chip craving! Give them a try!
