Tomorrow Morning.....OMG

I am schedule for surgery tomorrow before sunrise. Anxiety is the first thought that comes to mind because no amount of research on what to expect seems like enough. I need to set up my tripod and shoot some "before" photos. It seems to help a lot of people in having perspective of their progress. This is a crazy emotional ride and I hope by tomorrow after all the knock out drugs have worn off I will be calmer and ready to work with the newer version of me.

 

It is normal to have anxiety... Take a deep breath and slow down... All will be and will go great.

Remember when reading responses to always look on the side panel to see what procedure the responder has had...

Each procedure has its own nuances and eccentricities AND not each person responds the same AND some people have had multiple abdominal / intestinal surgeries that create its own set of issues.

All will go well.... Make sure you have your house in order, your bags packed, take PJ bottoms and make sure you have your liquids and protein shakes stocked and ready to go..

Sit straight when drinking and have a hot tea to help relax your belly..

You will do fine! I am laying here right now with IV in hand waiting to be taken to surgery and all is calm. Take a deep breath and pray! Good luck!!!

And don't forget to take your measurements. Sometimes weight loss stalls, but you continue to lose inches.

 

This may sound weird, but I was calm as I walked in for my surgery.

Earlier I was excited.

I had made an important "life" decision. Once I made that decision it was all systems go.

I knew I had one of the best surgeons nationally in the field of bariatric surgery.

In fact, while he was doing all that he repaired a huge hiatal hernia I didn't know about.

So, good luck. Today, with all the modern advancements with Divinci minimally evasive surgery the risks have been dramatically reduced.
