Can anyone who may have had an ulcer tell me what it feels like? I have been experiencing pain near my lower bellybutton scar internally for about three weeks now off and on. I am 6 months out. I feel intuitively that it may be an ulcer.

Can anyone who may have had an ulcer tell me what it feels like? I have been experiencing pain near my lower bellybutton scar internally for about three weeks now off and on. I am 6 months out. I feel intuitively that it may be an ulcer.

I had 2 ulcers in the past. It felt to me like my stomach was on fire, burning at times when I had an empty stomach and burning after I ate certain foods or drink. Soda especially seemed to bother me, I guess it was the carbonated water that irritated it. The doctor had me take Prilosec for several months which cured it.
