Light headed and weak

I have an appt for my follow up on oct 12. He told me to wait to do blood work until its closer to the date. He has me taking 3 bariatric iron vitamins and 2 calcium chewys a day. I've been taking those since Aug 26th and this feeling just started on friday. I just want it to go away. :(

I have very little energy as well however I am only 3 weeks post. What energy I have depletes pretty quick. I dont allow myself to sleep but could if I let myself. However, I am getting very little nutrition at this point. I haven't had protien shakes in a few days as the last time I had them I got sick and it was not pleasant.

oh no! You should at least try to get 1 shake down even if it takes all day. It was hard for me as well. Now i feel like I can eat almost anything without the full feeling LOL. I weigh everything out and still am only eating a couple ounces of protein a meal. I have a shake for breakfast every morning. It was tough at first . You'll get through it! :)

I am 2 months out of surgery and I have been feeling so light headed and weak to the point where I need to go and sit down. I just feel so exhausted and I hate it. I can literally sleep all day if I was able too. Has anyone experienced the same thing or should I go see my doctor?
Are you getting your water in? Dehydration can cause you to feel like that. If you are, I wouldn't wait to call the doctor. It could just be that your caloric intake is so much lower but that wouldn't have just started recently if your surgery was 2 months ago. I hate to bug the doctors too but you don't want to wait and have it be something serious.

Low blood pressure could also be at play. It's not unusual for it to drop from weight loss and other body changes. Dehydration and nutrition issues could potentially present themselves that way, as was previously pointed out. Contact your bariatric clinic or primary care doc, and try to see someone before Oct 12th. You shoudln't put up with it for the next three weeks without being seen by someone if it's occurring every day.

Most definitely it can point to low blood pressure or dehydration. I typical run low on my blood pressure upper 90s to low 100s over 55-62ish and when it dips the first thing that happens is I get ligh headed and need to sit.

Check with the doctor. There are a myriad of reasons you could be weak and light headed. But you don't want to wait it out. Even something as simple as low blood pressure/sugar, while easily fixed, could have you passing out and possibly hurting yourself in the process. Better to find out and fix it ASAP.

I messaged my doctor today :) I hope it is something simple as not enough vitamin D or something . LOL. I'll keep everyone posted. It really is annoying because I want to enjoy feeling and looking better and its so hard cause I'm non stop concentrating on my head.

2 weeks post op and going through this, too. I have my follow up appointment in the morning, so I'll let you know if I find anything out. In my case, as others in the thread suggested, it could be blood pressure...I am not tolerating my meds well.
