Hey bariatric family! Thursday I had an ablation for my unrelenting period issue, so I decided to take a few days to be not as concerned about my eating. I didn’t ignore everything, but I certainly took liberties which I hadn’t thus far. I ate more sweets, got a little over stuffed, but I made sure I got my protein and liquid in daily. I got on the scale this morning and like most days when I weigh in:190.2, which is perfect. I won’t use that as an excuse to splurge a little more frequently because I know how slippery that slope can be. I am using it as a reminder that I don’t need to be scared of the scale or foods, and that I’m allowed to give myself grace and time “off” of sorts. I hope y’all are doing well, and remember that this is a transformation of the mind as much as the body.
