As I walked through the grocery yesterday I could not believe that so many different things were no longer tempting. Should have believed you all that post op, the temptations for "no nos" would be gone. Will it last when I actually start eating real food in the future?

No lol Eventually, you will find food tempting again. I will say some of my old favs still aren't tempting, due to the change in taste buds. Once you start eating mostly real, whole foods, a lot of the overly processed garbage does not taste very good. But fresh baked goods? Still yummy lol

Agree with Missy. My tastes changed probably a good thing, I don't crave some of what I used to eat and I totally don't feel hungry.
My self control at the bakery is pretty good, but somedays I want something special. Fresh baked goods are and have been my favorites and my downfall. I have been treating myself to some mini-croissants that our "wonderful and special" market sells. The mini things are really about the right amount, I love their prepared chicken salad and make a mini-crossanwich with it, just the right amount and it feels like a special treat.
I do indulge my cravings, but of course we can only eat a little of it so it hasn't been showing. I can do 1/2 an enchilada and no rice and beans. That helps with the Mexican food desires. Totally learned not to eat too much or it will come back up.

One other thing I am doing is that I pretend I am at a restaurant eating something special. I have some Egg Rolls I air fry, then I pretend I am in a Chinese restaurant (somewhere out of my past) it's all red and decorated with Chinese things. I can eat one Egg Roll, but I do dip in the sweet chili sauce. YUM.

Maybe a little too much fantasy, but it's fun.
