It’s difficult to say how much weight people lose and when. Their personal circumstances may have some losing 5-10 while others lose 10-30. I’m over 2 years post-op and I’ve lost 111 pounds total. With that said, right now I’m too skinny. I’ve lost several pounds in the last 2 months - because of the death of my dad.
It’s different for everyone. It’s not a race - you may have stalls where you may not lose weight for several weeks or months. I believe that everyone will lose weight differently. Comparing your weight loss to another in the group may make it very difficult on you. If you’re sticking with the plan your surgical team has in place for you - then you’re on the right path.
A lot of people become a slave ti the scale. There are some people that will weigh themselves multiple times a day and get discouraged because they aren’t losing weight like so and so is. It’s not a race - keep a slow and steady pace will get you to where you need to be. Best of luck to you on this awesome life changing journey!
