Rode my Bike

It’s been 27 days since my sleeve surgery. Yesterday we went for a 3 1/2 mile bike ride. I have not been on my bike for 5 YEARS. The bike ride kicked my ass because there were soooooo many hills and gradual slopes. I had to get off my bike three times and push it uphill. My legs were noodles when we got home and I was a little nauseous and fatigued. I sat for an hour drinking water and ate a popsicle. I could tell that my blood sugar was low. I’m still counting this as a success. Next time we will have to trailer the bikes to a bike trail since our neighborhood is all hills.

What a fun way to feel so much success. You should feel so proud to accomplish this just a month after your surgery. Can you even believe you were capable of doing this? Wow!!! Way to go girl!
