Medication related weight gain

I am 9 years out from breast cancer and am taking a class of drug that can, and has for me, cause some weight gain. I’m wondering how that will or won’t be effected by a gastric sleeve. I’ll ask my surgeon when I see him next week. Has anyone been post-op and dealt with meds where weight gain is a side effect?

You know my husband also gained weight when he had his chemotherapy. He was on chemo for 3 months and was heavier by about 25 lbs when he was done.

I had chemo and radiation back in '17 for my cancer. But my chemo was spread out one week of 24 hours a day of chemo at the beginning, then months of radiation then at the end I had one more week of chemo the same way. ( I brought mine home with me)

I gained about 15 lbs total during all that.
I know my husband was on one drug called bleo myosin. I forget the rest of them ( was back in the early 90's)
Mine though was 5FU

ps. My husband had testicular cancer. Mine was rectal
