I had RNY surgery on July 8, 2014 and have lost 70 pounds. In January I will be moving to St. Paul , MN. Does anyone know of a support group out there that I could look into? Any help is welcome.

The best advice I have for you is once you arrive or even before you arrive at your new home/residence look up bariatric surgeon's in your new area in St. Paul, MN and call their offices to find out about support groups. Most of us have a support group that is run by someone from the bariatric surgeon's practice. Also, look for hospitals that are center of excellence for bariatric surgery in your new location and do the same. You also want to connect with a new surgeon's team and hospital as well for your continued follow up and progress.

Don't move there and NOT have a new team that is going to support you as you progress, be it the nutritionist, follow up visits with bariatric doctor, psych if needed, etc, etc.,

All of these functions exist for me in my surgeon's practice and/or the hospital itself.

God forbid you should run into some difficulty, you want these connections for your general good and if needed for anything that may arise as a problem.

Just because you moved doesn't mean your support connections are gone!

Best wishes,

Ralph
