I had sleep apnea and didn't know it. I slept 8 hrs a night or so I thought. When they tested me I stopped breathing 130 times in one hour. Sounds unbelievable to stop breathing, and jolt semi awake to start breathing again twice in a minute. No wonder I was so tired. That happened at my heaviest weight. My sleep apnea is gone now. Thank Goodness!

Me too. It is unbelieveable how many times we stopped breathing. My wife used to hear it all the time.
I still have trouble with sleeping. My wife blames the computer; too much computer.
She forgets that my entire life/profession before retiring had all to do with computers and during the day I was on them plenty.
Maybe it is what makes us tired; I don't know.
Anyway, try to get that 7 hour sleep they all say we need. I find that I sleep in spurts; 3 to 4 hour spurts. Like now, I napped a little between 10pm to 2am. Finally went to bed, slept another 2 1/2 hours. Now I am up. I will go back to bed and sleep another 2 hours shortly.
If I wake up, I get up. Nothing worse than tossing and turning in bed and NOT falling back to sleep.
If necessary, take something. I took a Trazadone the other night and did quite well.
I am having difficulty with my pulse lately; caffeine triggers it. I went 8 month able to consume decaf coffee again and ocassionally a fully loaded coffee. Now, my pulse is running in the 90s. It used to run in the 110 area before losing the weight; so that is progress. My cardiologist cannot figure it out other than I should avoid caffeine again for awhile.
I know we should avoid it anyhow but I loved my coffee in the morning and enjoyed it for a full 8 to 10 months before this "sensitivity" recurred.
I have been off caffeine now for over two to three weeks but the pulse still goes up into the nineties. My Doc gave me a prescription of bystolic that now allows me to take up to the maximum of 40mg each day if necessary. It is bringing the pulse back down at greater doses; like 20mg in the AM and 20mg in the PM. Eventually, I should be able to back off and lower the does and maintain control. Everything I understand about caffeine says I should be completely detoxed by now, but we will see.
