Anna, you are a good guru. You thought of things that I had forgotten. Guess that's what old age does to you. LolDid you hear back from the doctor about your output. I'm worried about that. Hopefully it's just your protein levels. Now the hard part waiting. In a week you should be able to see a different either in your cloths or the scale.
Lol. At least you have a book to refer to.Lol. It does help to be fresh from the surgery. Ok I cheated and looked in the book my doctor gave out.
Thank you Tracy. I look at this group as being one that we are able to help each other. You have been a tremendous support when I was stumbling along.Anna, where were you when I started, lol, you are informed, I did have Christine to help me though it though, thanks Christine Seese, you were and still are a great help
Seems like you have a good handle on why you hit that plateau. For me if I get off track the weight stays the same, I have to keep pushing my self to get the proteins and exercise in and it comes off..... Good luck to you. we are here to helpHello all! I'm Ellie.. I've had the Gastric Sleeve surgery 5/10/16. I weighed 280 lbs and am now 215 lbs. I'm depressed, and menopausal. I've hit a Plateau, due to getting off track with my diet. I'm not getting enough protein and water intake. I'm dealing with lose skin as well. I'm feeling stuck. I'm grateful that I came across this site.
Hello all! I'm Ellie.. I've had the Gastric Sleeve
Hi Ellie. I'm so sorry to hear of your struggles. Your weight loss thus far is great. Congratulations!!! As for not getting in enough protein; are you drinking a protein shake each day? The reason I ask this is because I'm struggling with my protein intake and I know it is because I quit drinking them. They are a great and easy source of protein. Water intake: look at ills.com. $25 device that goes on your water bottle or glass, can be switched between both, and reminds you to drink your water. No, I don't work for the company, just looking into one for myself. Or there are free water reminder apps. Hope all of this helps.Hello all! I'm Ellie.. I've had the Gastric Sleeve surgery 5/10/16. If your not getting 60 grams of protein or more go back to the shakes because the shakes help get the protein and the water in at the same time. Make sure that your not drinking a lot of sugary drinks. No fruit juice. No carbonated drinks. Water or flavored water only. When you do eat you should be at 1/2 cup or 2-4 ounces of soft food at one time. It's ok if it's less as long as your drinking your protein. I have an app that helps me keep track of my protein and water.
I had to try several shakes before I found one I could stomach. I use premier shakes. They come pre made so they are very convenient.I'm having a horrible time getting my protein in because the shakes make me so sick. Do you have any suggestions?
