My surgery has to be rescheduled.

They could not find a heart doctor to do my clearance in the time needed. I am set up for an appointment for the heart doctor on the 12th of June. It is a real bummer.

It was not the surgeon that stopped the surgery it was the one that puts the people to sleep. He wants to check my heart because my ekg showed I had a previous mini heart attack. But my blood pressure is fine, no high cholesterol, Pulse is perfect but they still wanted another doctor to check to make sure.

I am not discourage from the surgery. In fact I have already scheduled the doctor appointment and I am waiting for them to give another date. She said it will take a few days but I will have another date. Hopefully it will be soon after.

I’m so sorry.

It is okay. I am still sticking to a diet but I am at least eating something healthy. But I will get there. I don't feel bad. I would rather jump the hoops and have a safe surgery then speed through and have more complications. So this is a set back but I will pass it with a little bit of time. I am not backing away from this. I am not worried about going to another doctor. Because I know everything is good with my blood work. I have no signs of another mini heart attack or anything. I think I had it when I was heavier and could barely do anything but pushed my self everyday to get up and move more. But this will pass just like the pysc eval did.

My ekg showed something odd, so they ordered a stress test. My stress test freaked the doctor out and he felt positive I had a blockage. I had a cardiac catheterization the next morning at 6:30am. I was afraid I was dying. I was losing it big time! My husband was even freaked out. Cardiologist came out after the catheterization and said there was zero problem! WTH? But yes, always better safe than sorry.

My date was moved too. In the past, I've had 3 knee replacements in the same knee, twice for knee infections. First they said they didn't need clearance from my infectious disease doctor and orthopaedic surgeon, then at the last minute the said they did! I'm glad to know that the doctor was being so careful. Hard to think that the knee area could have an effect on a stomach!

Everything has an effect on any surgery. I am glad that they are being safe but they should of said something before it hit 6 days before surgery. But it is okay it is getting taken care of now. That day will come and I will have my surgery.

I hope it's not but I am always going to be thinking about you and sending you the best vibes.

Thanks Diane! I already feel the vibes!

Apparently 1% of knee replacement folks have a tendency for any type of bodily infection to settle in the replaced knee area. I am one of those. For the last 4 years I've taken daily antibiotics as a preventive measure. It seems to be working!
