What was your choice that you are now happy about? Do you know why you were having trouble with eating before now?At this point very happy with my choice if you would have asked a week ago I may have had a different opinion about it I am now eating with no issues
That is great. Did you have the Bypass or the Sleeve done? This may sound a bit distorted but I think the people that have the uncomfortable eating and painful digestion process tend to do better in the long run with keeping weight off and maintaining a healthy diet. I have seen and talked to so many people that went from liquid to soft to regular food and had NO pain, no nothing and found it so easy to resume their old lifestyle and blame the surgery for not working. This is just my opinion obviously but based on what I have seen. Good luck with eating, and don't push it.I am very happy I had the surgery I am loosing weight like crazy. Still don't know exactly why I was having trouble eating I have acid reflux so that was a big part still not sure why I feel sick to my tummy every day. But for the most part I am feeling so much better thanks for asking
Can I ask how much weight you had to loose? I have never heard of anyone doing both the Sleeve and switch until last 2 or 3 years and lots on this website. I wonder what makes a canidate to have both verses just one. 5 years ago my only options were the band that filled with fluid and adjusted as needed, the sleeve or the Rou-N-Y bypass. Never had I heard of the switch. Is this a new procedure? They tried to get me to do the bypass saying I wouldn't get enough weight loss with the sleeve alone but I was so against the bypass. At 367 pounds they said I wouldb't get below 220 probably. While I was sick I got to 112 which was terrible and gross but now have maintained 165 for 3 years. I am glad I followed my gut on that one.I had a sleeve and duodenal switch I hope your thinking is right because I hope for the best
The switch is just relocating the intestines and I was 337 but when I went into surgery I weighed 271 I am now Down to 230 I think I just heard from my doctor they said I am not getting enough proteinCan I ask how much weight you had to loose? Is that what they are saying your stomach pains and issues are from? What are you eating/drinking? I try to switch between protein juice and protein shakes so I don't get burnt out. Plus the juices makes me feel more hydrated than a heavy shake does. I hope you can find a way ton increase your protein and feel better. The switch is just relocating the intestines and I was 337 but when I went into surgery I weighed 271 I am now Down to 230 I think I just heard from my doctor they said I am not getting enough protein
