9 days after surgery I passed out and broke my ankle and leg

I can’t believe this! I was taken to the hospital via rescue squad because I had been laying in bed and I got up to go use the restroom and I got between my bedroom and my sons and I felt really dizzy, so I turned to get to my bed and I heard pop pop and next thing I knew I woke up on the floor in extreme pain. I started yelling for my husband and he came up and we had to call them because I couldn’t move at all. I was on the second story of my house.
The rescue squad checked my bp and it was dangerously low, so they put in a IV and checked me to see if I was dehydrated and they said possibly a tiny bit.
I explained to the hospital about my surgery and they checked all my labs and they were perfect so I was so happy about that. They kept me over night, but I had asked to be transferred to where I had my surgery because this hospital doesn’t help with your diet or anything and I had to go today anyway to get my staples and drain removed. Unfortunately they had no beds.
since I was on a special diet they never fed me! How that had anything to do with them feeding me I will never know. I was slightly dehydrated though even though I drink constantly, so I’m warning you to make sure you keep your fluids going after the surgery!
I have problems with passing out though.
please wish me good luck in my recovery! I have casts on both legs.

Oh wow! I love the positive attitude you are keeping through all of this! It can't be easy but you are not letting it deter you. Keep up the fighting spirit and we are here for you in any way you need!

Thank you so much!! I cry all day, but I’m so lucky that my family won’t let it get me down. The reason I cry is because it’s so painful and I’m trying to not use my pain meds because they didn’t help anyway. I’m scared to add anything because of the fear of adding something else to these reoccurring passing out trips I have.
Today I have stayed up the latest and had so much fun just rolling around in my wheelchair. I am so stir crazy! My husband is getting me out tomorrow!

Oh no, Meranda! You are so lucky you weren’t seriously injured. I’m happy to hear you checked out ok but now you’ve got casts on your legs. Please be extra careful in getting around & get better soon!
Oh I am trust me! Tonight was the first time I actually rolled myself around downstairs and my son was behind me the whole time. If I need to use the bathroom my husband is right there with me or my poor son has to wait right outside the door, but they refuse to let it be closed. I forgot to add that I did start to fall today after brushing my teeth I grabbed my walker in the bathroom and turned and back I started to go. I’ve never seen my son dive so fast towards me! He screamed gotcha! I wasn’t even down I just went back, like hit my back on the wall. I told him thank you for being my hero .
my son has Autism and is 19! He’s high functioning in some ways, but not in others. I’m blessed he is at home.

It sounds like you have an amazing support system in your family, you're very lucky to have them. :)
