Roux N Y reversal

Hi Tanya, and welcome. Yours is the first RYGB reversal surgery I have heard of. In the thousands of posts that have traveled through this forum since March when I joined, no one has ever mentioned this type of reversal. So I think we are really counting on you to tell us what happened.
Hey, Well I will keep all informed then as my surgeon couldn't help as I am his first reversal as well. After five years of major complications and still no other options this was our only choice.

It will be very interesting to learn more. In all my research before surgery, I never read anything from someone who actually had a reversal. I'm so sorry you had to deal with so many complications, I hope the reversal helps a lot. Can you please give us a little more background? I'm wondering about your starting weight/age at that time, how much you lost after surgery and the complications that led to the reversal. Anything you're willing to share could potentially help someone else.

I was 38 yrs old 5'10" tall and weighed 279 at surgery I had lost 44lbs before surgery.
The complications started 3 months after surgery when I suffered a perforation 1 month later I was diagnosed with 2 massive bleeding ulcers even though I was taking pantoloc 2 times daily.
From there I was diagnosed with lactose intolerance and 6 months later Celiacs I suffer from severe iron deficiency to the point I have to go every 3 month for 4 sessions of iron Infusion I have always suffered from throwing up this thick slime and can only eat bites my weight ended up at 128 at the time of my reversal so that's a grand total of 195lbs but due to the severe malabsorption and severe anemia I am hoping things get better

Wow Tanya, thanks for sharing. I'm so sorry you've been through such an ordeal. I really hope things turn around for you after this. Jeez, 128 lbs at 5'10" is totally underweight. You're young, hopefully that helps a lot with your recovery. I wish you all the best, please keep us posted.
