I need help

I had gastric bypass December 10th, 2019. Initially, I was losing weight. But now my weight loss has come to a halt and I started eating too much, and food I shouldn’t eat. Is it possible to stretch out your stomach and not be able to get it back to the size it should be? I’m really down and worried.

Please listen to Diane and reach out to professionals. It's really early on to have started down this path. You may not have caused any damage yet but everything is still healing so please don't let this go on. You only have 1 stomach for the rest of your life, you need to take care of it. And it sounds like your eating disorder is running the show. There are meds that can help, along with counseling. I have BED (Binge Eating Disorder) and take meds every day to keep it quiet. It's not a sign of weakness to ask for help, it's a sign of strength.

Hi - MissWings -

Your stomach is a layered muscled organ, it can't be easily stretched out. "This wonderfully resilient organ is more likely to contract all it’s layers of muscle and object – which (and there’s no nice way of putting this) make you feel very unwell or vomit to eject the excess. This can happen with ill-judged food types, lack of chewing, eating too fast, or eating beyond satiety."Can You Stretch Your Pouch? | Bariatric Basics | Bariatric Cookery

You're 7 weeks post-op - you really should contact your weight management team / surgeons office and see them ASAP. Best of luck to you.
