Pre-op surgery

From what I know from friends and others online, the first week is kind of rough. Many regret the surgery at first... And then go on to regret regretting it because they will tell you it was the best decision they ever made somewhere around the 3rd week. I attribute it to post-surgery ickiness. Yes, that's completely a scientific term. Lol.

Thanks Badgy! I kinda figured that but wasnt too sure. And I use the same scientific term! LOL!!

You're still working the anesthetic and meds out of your system so you aren't quite yourself for the first couple weeks. Hydration is so important for that.

Lots of us had a relatively easy time, even right from the beginning. I never had a regret. My only hiccup is that I have chronic diarrhea (not surgery related) so I kept loosing all the water I drank the first week. IV fluids at the hospital took care of that and I was myself again by the time I left. But from what I hear, most people have constipation issues from the pain meds so my issue is quite unusual. :)
