Welcome Christina, we're happy you found us. Feel free to ask any questions if you have them, we've all been (or are currently) in your shoes.![]()
Can I encourage you to please consider NOT doing sleeve, but bypass instead... I had the lap band in 2013, which I converted to VSG in 2015... What I did not know is that the incidence of reflux with a revision VSG is WAY higher than even just a VSG on its own. Ultimately I had a revision to RNY in August of last year, and wish that I had gone that route from the start instead of dealing with 3 surgeries. Please please please do more research before revising to VSG.Hi, my name is Christina and I’m scheduled to have the VSG on March 26, 2020 and I’m a little nervous. I‘m converting from the lap band for numerous of reasons with the hope the VSG will allow me to reach my goal. I was advised to join a support group so here I am.
