Just looked up and found out I can put Miralax in coffee!!! Yay. I have trouble drinking it in plain water. Makes me gag. But, helps keep the pipes running well.
I also take Benefiber. I can also put that in coffee. The two work well for me.
The last week, I've been overeating. Sliding back into eating for probably anxiety. Today I'm being mindful and realizing I want to be successful. I need to break out of this insidious pattern. A stressor is that my roommate lost her job and I stopped her giving me rent money at this time. I can afford it, but I worry about it. She applied for unemployment but who knows if/when she'll get it. We've roomed together for years and are like sisters; neither of us has family here. She gets a paltry catholic school pension; retired from teaching to take a clerical job at the local university. She's able to keep afloat with paying bills.
This week, my blood sugar has finally started going down. I had sleeve in Jan. Blood sugar was always in the 250s. Doc put me on farxiga, 5 mg, and this week it's been in the 100s; yesterday 148, today 130. I take 45 units of Toujeo, a long acting insulin. I'll decrease that as the blood sugar goes down. I haven't been taking any humalog at all.
Finally, I'm very grateful that I have a house, car, roommate, cat, good retirement and budget with no credit to pay off. I'm grateful every day for what I have.
Stay safe, everyone.
